Using an Oklahoma intermediate school program as an example, this article advises a laboratory approach to teaching computer literacy. Suggests nine-week minicourses linking computer and curriculum basics and wider student access to computers. (MLH)

The Helping Relationship Inventory was used to see whether objective improvement in medical student (n=109) communication skills occurred in a relatively brief (nine-hour) small-group course in interviewing. The study demonstrated that even brief small-group interviewing courses can effect a positive change in communication skills. (Author/MSE)

Provides an overview of the continuing education programs in library and information science available in Iran, and describes a survey that assessed the effectiveness of short courses conducted by the Iranian Documentation Center during 1982-1986.
