A Canadian Journey: Post-Secondary Education Since 1945
Bruneau, William
Education Canada, v44 n4 p25-27 Fall 2004
In this article, the author traces the history of Canadian post-secondary education. The author observes how the development of the country's post-secondary education reflects the changes of its socioeconomic priorities. Two relatively calm beginnings characterized by the construction of the first universities, the period of expansion of the post-war period and the great changes of 1960s followed. Overall, post-secondary education in Canada has evolved to accommodate the demands of the changing market.
