This booklet is the first in a series of resource materials designed to aid Lutheran communities assess the feasibility of a high school, make plans and responsible decisions for the establishment of a school, and assist existing schools in their ongoing operation. The guidelines in the first part of the booklet present a step-by-step procedure for starting a feasibility study. This includes formation of an exploration group, classification of purpose, compilation of preliminary information, securement of knowledgeable assistance, convocation of key meetings, go or no-go decision, and postdecision procedure. The second part--coordinated resources--presents arguments in favor of establishing a Lutheran high school and facts about Lutheran high schools. Other material consists of sample forms for meeting agendas, news announcements, a congregation commitment resolution, and helpful hints. (Author/MLF)
