Asserts that counseling psychology programs should consider providing education and training in health psychology. Presents guidelines for education and training including scientist-practitioner model, university-based context, grounding in counseling psychology and research methodology, core courses in health psychology, elective courses, recognition of role of diversity, standards for counseling psychologist licensure and accreditation, internship, and integration of theory and practice.
