Each institution has unique admission guidelines, program requirements, and course offerings.This guide recommends that candidates who have narrowed their school choices to several institutions should:(1) Call the schools they are interested in attending and request admission and financial aid applications along with a college catalog. Most catalogs are the best source of information from the school and list the courses and their general descriptions along with basic requirements for the certificates or degrees the school offers; (2) Ask any questions they may have; and (3) Visit each school, and see if they like the campus; talk to faculty, staff, and students; stop by the job placement or career services office and find out what companies recruit graduating students; inquire at the financial aid office about grants, loans, and other forms of assistance.
