This book is intended to present an interdisciplinary approach to the field of adult religious education. It is divided into two parts. Part 1 includes chapters devoted to the following aspects of adult religious education: adulthood and its many aspects, social contexts of adulthood, psychological and religious development in adulthood, adult learning, and historical perspectives on adult religious education. Part 2 contains chapters devoted to the following aspects of the practice of adult religious education: theoretical approaches to adult religious education, steps in organizing for adult religious education, a systematic approach to planning for adult religious education, principles and formats for designing adult religious education, and management and evaluation of adult religious education.
