This leadership development guide is designed for use by student officers of the Vocational Industrial Clubs of America (VICA). Discussed first are the uniqueness of each individual and the qualities that made several famous leaders great. In the second section, various aspects of developing leadership abilities are addressed, including becoming familiar with the background and organization of the VICA, understanding parliamentary procedure, knowing the responsibilities of VICA members and officers, learning to get along with and draw out the best in others, knowing oneself, and mastering the basics of public relations.
