Power: A Repossesion Manual: Organizing Strategies for Citizens.
Speeter, Greg
The purpose of this manual is to encourage the growth of community organization and to make the process of mobilizing a community and the skills involved known to those who participate in the organizing process. It offers practical suggestions on understanding the organizing process, diagnosing, and improving it. The manual is written with the assumption that group members, not group leaders, should own the organization (its actions, programs, and decisions). Chapters are written chronologically, from the first step in the organizing process through the last. Each chapter is then divided into a series of substeps that usually are required to accomplish a step. All exercises in the manual appear on single pages so they can be duplicated easily. (Author)
