This guide is designed to assist teenagers as well as those who work and live with them in examining issues, attitudes, and feelings about drinking. Numerous Action Plans are provided to help the user focus on various aspects of drinking and its potential effect on individuals, their families, and their relationships with others. The objectives in the Action Plans address the following areas of concern: (1) family drinking behavior; (2) alternatives to drinking; (3) school and community projects for alcohol education; (4) legal rights of teenagers; (5) peer pressure; and (6) physical, mental, and emotional effects of drinking.
