Preschool Preposition Test. Manual of Instructions (and Related Documents).
Aaronson, May; Schaefer, Earl S.
The Preschool Preposition Test (PPT) is a receptive language test which examines the comprehension of verbal directions using spatial prepositions or prepositional phrases, together with manipulative objects. The 23 items ask the child to place a ball in back of or into another object, and so on. The test is designed for 3 to 5-year old children whose native language is English. Other research studies have indicated the reliability and validity of the PPT as a developmental screening instrument with normal children and certain exceptional groups. This document contains general instructions for administering the PPT, a description of the equipment used, and detailed scoring instructions. Sample items are included, as well as scoring sheets, percentile ranks corresponding to different raw scores of different age groups, instructions for test interpretation, item difficulty ranking, correlations with Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test scores, a Classroom Behavior Description which may be used with the PPT, and three test reviews.
