Developing an Information System for Consultation and Education Services in Community Mental Health Centers.

This paper draws on the emerging literature on consultation and education (C and E) information systems as well as on experiences from an in-progress research project on consultation and education in four comprehensive community mental health centers. It (1) provides a brief review of the literature and state of the art of information systems for C and E; (2) discusses content to be included in an information system for C and E; and (3) presents a model and principles for implementing an information system for C and E services.
