Simulated Admissions Exercise in Health Services Administration.
Quatrano, Louis A.; And Others
This workbook is intended for use in a Simulated Admissions Exercise (SAE). Done in group settings, the SAE establishes mock admissions committees which work through simulated student applications to choose a certain number to be "admitted" to a hypothetical class of students. The applicants are seeking positions in a health services administration program at the master's level, requiring one and one-half years of academic course work followed by an internship, or residency, for the balance of the second year. The program is in a school of public health at a private institution which has no specific resident restrictions. It is a school that attracts students with a wide diversity in economic background and which has always made a conscientious attempt to consider applicants of varied background. This booklet contains a set of materials modified from forms used at several institutions. The forms do not represent those currently used at any specific institution. Data on students are patterned after real cases entering programs during the fall of 1975, but information is masked to protect the identity of students and others. (Author)
