Home Learning Activities Designed to Provide Educational Experiences for Children and Parents. Part 2.
Seay, Shirley H.; Brown, Brenda
This manual, Part 2 of a two-volume series, is a compilation of instructional tasks designed to be used in the home by parents with their children. These home learning activities are one component of the Florida Model of Follow Through Programs. Each instructional task is designed for use in the home by a Parent Educator (P.E) who has already worked with the child and the child's classroom teacher. The task is discussed, demonstrated or role-played, evaluated, and revised (if necessary) with the parent who in turn shares it with the child. This manual contains home learning activities involving people and places (with a special section on black culture), poetry, reading, science, seasons and weather, shapes and colors, social living, travel, and word games.
