This guide, intended for participants in the second course of the National School Resource Network Core Curriculum, contains an activity/content summary for each module of the course, worksheets, and background materials. The overall goal for the unit is to enhance the awareness of the participants about the contemporary issues and practices surrounding the development and implementation of an effective school discipline program. The unit is designed to meet the pragmatic needs of frontline school members, from teachers and administrators to parents and students, so that they may become equipped both cognitively and experientially with specific facts and tools to solve discipline problems.
