This second in a series of six packages of instructional materials developed by the Pre-Retirement Rehearsal Project contains a student's pre-retirement booklet specifically intended for adults with limited reading ability and teacher's guide, which consider these topics: the variety of options for living arrangements, retirement location, and community resources and services available and how to use them to advantage. The student booklet contains informative materials; an activity on finding out about community services; an exercise on the pros and cons of buying a smaller home, renting an apartment, condominiums, mobile home buying, public or subsidized housing, and retirement communities; a quiz on the material covered; and a list of suggested readings. The teacher's guide suggests how to present instruction and provides three formats from which the teacher may choose. The script for an accompanying slide/tape presentation, Housing Options in Lancaster County, is also provided (with availability).
