This manual introduces students to the rules, regulations, policies, and general operational procedures of a secondary distributive education student-run school store laboratory (the Rainbow Shoppe). It details, from a student standpoint, the benefits of the training program and the roles and responsibilities of each student in the operation of the lab. An introductory section presents the history of the store and an illustration of the store layout. The second section discusses facts about the store; its organization, personnel, the advisory committee, sales departments, and sales supporting services. Employee benefit programs, such as employee discount, charge account, high school course credit, and counseling services are explained in a third section. Rules, regulations, policies, and procedures are listed in section 4. Final sections include job duties of employees and the ten commandments of the Rainbow Shoppe. (CT)
