In the conviction that oral/aural skills are a key element in language mastery, this booklet is intended to provide teachers with graded exercises for developing these skills in students from kindergarten to grade eight. The exercises are intended for practice in rapid listening training, and provide examples for teachers to expand and adapt according to circumstances. Sections dealing with memory, sequencing, discrimination, association, and closure are organized to present exercises of graded difficulty (not corresponding to grade levels). The exercises provide material for individual and small group work at different levels of difficulty, as well as whole-class activities.
