How To Write a Scholarly Research Report. ERIC/AE Digest.
Rudner, Lawrence M.; Schafer, William D.
This digest discusses the common sections of a research report and highlights frequently made mistakes. At every stage of the research activities, the researchers should think about the eventual research report. The report should be planned to focus on a single important finding or a highly related group of findings. Suggestions are made for the format and content of the following sections: (1) title; (2) abstract; (3) introduction and literature review; (4) method; (5) results; (6) discussion; and (7) references. Advice is also given about publishing, from choosing the journal in which to publish to coping with rejection. (SLD)
