If children are to benefit from a healthy, supportive early childhood experience, it is important to strengthen transitions between early childhood experiences in educational and care settings and the more formal educational system. "The New CG Secretariat: An International Exchange of ECCD (Early Childhood Care and Development) Knowledge and Experience" presents the goals and activities of the newly restructured Secretariat, a forum for regional representatives and the donor consortium to engage in knowledge gathering, synthesis and dissemination, networking, technical assistance, and early childhood care and development advocacy."Network Notes" reports on the activities, meetings and calendar of the Secretariat and of the Partners of the Consultative Group on ECCD.
