This issue of the serial "Materials" is devoted to major events that occurred in Spain in 1992 and celebrates the fifth centennial of Spain's discovery of the new world. This issue presents nine activities for intermediate and advanced students of Spanish. Each unit begins with information on the student level for which it is intended, the objectives of the activity, the skills the activity develops, and information on how to carry out the activity. The activities are based on major events that occurred in Spain in 1992, such as the Olympics in Barcelona and the Expo in Seville. There are a number of relevant illustrations, photos, and maps. (KM)
