The Home School Court Report, 1990.
Home School Court Report, v6 n1-4 1990
Feature articles contained in the four issues of volume 6 of this periodical for families who practice home schooling concern the response of the United States Senate to political pressure from home schoolers; a "declaration of war" on religious freedom by conservative members of the U.S. Supreme Court; the likelihood that the Congress will pass a federal crime bill that has "dangerous potential" for home schoolers; and Barbara Bush's admission of prejudice against home schooling. Additional articles in each number concern difficulties facing home schooling and home schoolers in various states, and articles on topics such as the urgent need to restore a biblical view of education and the threat of early intervention programs to the life of the traditional family. Also provided are the text of the Religious Freedom Restoration Act of 1990 and material on the National Center for Home Education's Testing Service for Home Schoolers. A Home School Court Report for Christmas, 1990 is also included. This features initial results from a survey of home education families who are members of the Home School Legal Defense Association.
