This journal, published quarterly by Project SHARE, a national clearinghouse for improving the management of human services, contains 150 abstracts of documents on subjects of concern to those responsible for the planning, management, and delivery of human services. The documents abstracted in this journal are included in the Project SHARE automated database. Some of the subjects covered in the abstracts are accountability in a hospital social service department, the aged deaf, management of human service organizations, public and private sector partnerships to meet human service needs, burnout, child welfare, community organizations, contracting human services to the private sector, the elderly blind, budgeting, program evaluation, funding programs, health planning, youth employment, handicapped workers, teenage pregnancy and parenthood, vocational education for the disabled, and intergovernmental cooperation. The journal is divided into four parts: the abstracts, arranged in alphabetical order by title; a list of personal and corporate authors; an alphabetical list of documents; and a subject index that lists abstracts by specific subject categories. The subject index includes cross references between conceptually related index terms and cross references from synonyms to the preferred terms. Information on how to order documents and how to submit documents also is included in the journal. (KC)
