This publication notes several points of interest. 170,000 students at each grade and subject will be selected to represent the state of New Mexico and nation. In grade 4 schools, all eligible students will be assessed. In grade 8 schools, the sample will be approximately 90-100. Writing will only be assessed at grades 8 and 11.
