The Carolina Counselors Spring Symposium, held in March, 1976, provided a setting in which faculty and students delivered papers focusing on their current interest areas in counseling and counselor education. The resulting publication contains studies on widely different subjects. Included in this volume are articles on: (1) mental patients' right to treatment; (2) phenomenological counseling; (3) counsulting with parents in the principles of behavior modification; (4) career planning for black graduate students; (5) self-disclosure as a counseling technique; (6) organization development of community systems (a conceptual model for counselor education); (7) children's rights; (8) attitudes toward the blind; and (9) group methods in geriatric institutions.
