Presents article on future development of psychology as profession reprinted from first volume of "Journal of Consulting Psychology" published in 1937. Includes commentary which notes areas in which original article made correct predictions. Unforeseen developments, such as conflict between professional psychologists and those interested in science of psychology, are discussed along with speculations as to possible future developments.
