This document contains the 42 reports from mini-conferences held in various nationwide locations prior to the 1981 White House Conference on Aging. Each report presents an overview of the topic, descriptions of particular problems, and statements of recommendations, based on the views of mini-conference participants, and made available to the official delegates to the 1981 White House Conference on Aging. A table of contents provides a list of the reports by number. The subsequent materials focus on the following topics: energy equity, long-term care, alcoholism, physical health, mental health, age stereotyping, lifelong learning, housing, minority/ethnic groups, diseases, religion, legal services, veterans, transportation, advocacy and consumer protection groups, and existing local/state/regional/national service-oriented programs for the elderly.
