The College Credit Recommendation Service of the American Council on Education helps adults gain academic credit for formal courses taken outside college and university degree programs. It does this by providing educational institutions with reliable information to use in making decisions about credit awards. This guide is a reference to help institutions offer appropriate recognition for learning attained outside their sponsorship. The credit recommendations and course descriptions are listed under the name of the institution alphabetically by title or numerically by course number. Information for each course includes the title, the American Council on Education transcript data, location and dates, objective, learning outcomes, instruction, and credit recommendations. The Guide also contains the results of evaluations for apprenticeship programs and credit recommendations for courses offered by distance education schools that are accredited by the Distance Education Training Council.
