This publication provides the elementary teacher with sequential and developmental objectives in the areas of plants, animals, ecology, and physiology. At least one motivating "hands-on" activity is included for each objective. Age level (5-8, 8-10, 10-12), process emphasized (classification, experimenting, etc.), and group size (independent study, small group, etc.), are indicated for each activity. Also, materials, procedures, indication of mastery, variations and extensions, interest span, related subjects, and practical hints are given for each activity. The teacher may use this publication as a source of science activities or for an elementary science program. (MR)
