This qualitative phenomenological study collected the first-hand narrative experiences of emerging introverted leaders and explored the impact of leadership coaching on their development of communication skills and leadership presence. Two semistructured interviews were conducted to develop the description of the leader and collect their experience with leadership coaching after they completed four coaching sessions. A local Northern Virginia leadership program hosted the study which created a convenience sample of participants, as well as, providing secondary data from the program administered DiSC personality marker assessment. Findings from this study identified that yes leadership coaching did accelerate the development of an emerging introverted leader especially when they had access to and were encouraged to use the relationship. These findings were related to the conceptual framework of this study and considered leadership coaching, introverted leader, and the emerging leadership development program as a key opportunity for leaders to have first-time access to leadership coaching resulting in an awareness that support exists.
