The U.S. Department of Education's Higher Education Center for Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse and Violence Prevention publishes "Catalyst," a newsletter covering current Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse and Violence (AODV) prevention issues at institutions of higher education. "Catalyst" discusses emerging issues and highlights innovative efforts on campuses that may be helpful to other institutions of higher education. This issue of "Catalyst" concerns campus and community coalitions. Articles in this issue include: (1) Campuses and Communities: Working together to Reduce Alcohol-Related Problems; (2) Model Programs: Promoting Effective Campus-Based Prevention; (3) Innovative Coalitions to Address Sexual Assault and Dating Violence; (4) Campus and Community Coalition Building: A Success in Massachusetts; and (5) Campus and Community: Working Together at the University of Georgia. This issue also includes a list of resources for information on campus and community coalitions and related topics.
