These task analyses are designed to be used in combination with the "Trade and Industrial Education Service Area Resource" in order to implement competency-based education in the commercial photography program in Virginia. The task analysis document contains the task inventory, suggested task sequence lists, and content outlines for the courses in commercial photography. Section 1 of this publication contains a validated task inventory for commercial photography. For each task, applicable information pertaining to performance and enabling objectives, criterion-referenced measures, and suggested instructional activities and aids is provided. Section 2 provides descriptions of the secondary program and courses for commercial photography. Included with each course description is a task sequence list, which provides a suggested order of the task inventory for actual instruction, and course content outlines. The instructional topics within the outlines have been cross-referenced with the corresponding task/competency codes from the task inventory in Section 1. Throughout the guide, resources are suggested. The appendixes provide 26 pages of resource lists, including references to books, photographic series, periodicals, professional associations, audiovisual materials, and supplies and equipment.
