Using data from married Turkish women in Ankara city and four villages, it appears that each of the (6) measures of modernism represents a distinct behavioral sphere. A common denominator appears to lie in an emancipation" complex. (Author)

Changing attitudes of Turkish students who were enrolled in foreign high schools were studied. In general, it was found that students who had received the most education experienced the greatest change toward less traditional attitudes. (CK)
