As an independent school district, Houston Independent School District (HISD) contracted with four operators of seven External Performance Contract Campuses, or contract campuses. Houston ISD contract campuses receive funding through the district. HISD has implemented a comprehensive performance accountability and compliance monitoring system that provides the board with the information necessary to make rigorous, evidence-based decisions regarding performance contract renewal, termination, and probation or other interventions, as is required by Board Policy EL(LOCAL). This report provides the evaluation of contract campuses through a review of academic, financial, and operational performance.
