The purpose of this report is to provide state and county estimates of basic enrollment statistics relevant to educational planning in South Carolina. It presents projections for first grade enrollment, the number of high school graduates, and the number of graduates who will enter college programs through 1983. These school statistics were compiled from South Carolina State Department of Education publications. Statistics are presented for each South Carolina county, and the county statistics are summed to provide statewide projections. The authors caution that these projections are a function of recent trends and that further updates will be necessary as population trends change. (Author/DS)
