Each of the five handbooks contains approximately 40 pages of tabular material derived from results of a mail survey of all dental hygienists licensed to practice in each of the states. The statistical tables are concerned with personal characteristics, education and training, professional history, current professional activity, professional activity during the last 12 months, continuing education, and status of currently inactive hygienists in each state. Other state surveys in this nationwide study have already been conducted, and others will be completed in the near future. (Author/BC)
