This handbook on rabbit raising, prepared for use by Peace Corps volunteers, attempts to share information gained by rabbit raisers in the Philippines along with information gathered from academic sources. The manual provides step-by-step information on how to begin and carry out a program of rabbit production. The 15 sections of the guide cover the following topics: selecting a breed of rabbit, methods of breeding, how to breed, the rabbitry and its equipment, feeds and feeding, feeding habbits, coprophagy, reproduction, managing the herd, uses of manure, types of production, marketing rabbits, simplified tanning, cooking recipes, and a multiple-project approach to rabbitry. The information is illustrated with line drawings and photographs. A glossary completes the manual. (KC)
