Religious and Cultural Inequities in Schools K-12 in Eastern Pennsylvania

This blend of ethnographic, case, and narrative qualitative study examined the experiences that fifteen adult stakeholders such as educators, family members, and administrators from nine different private and public schools in the eastern region of Pennsylvania. The researcher conducted one-on-one zoom semi-structured interviews with the fifteen adult participants, and data was collected from these participants' responses as well as some public documents such as school calendars and vision and mission statements. The major and emerging themes of this study stemmed from participants' responses to the semi-structured interview questions. Suggestions were also made by the participants to foster a stronger sense of belonging for all students at their schools. Some of the researcher's goals for this study are to raise awareness about religious and cultural inequities in schools in Pennsylvania and to unite all students of all cultural and religious backgrounds closer together.
