Whole Numbers. Mathematics Series: Principles, Concepts and Applications.

The "General Mathematics" series is intended to introduce students to basic mathematic principles and concepts as well as to the opportunity to apply those principles and concepts. This color coded module, one of six in the series, will allow students to build or increase their level of understanding of whole numbers and will help students develop basic whole number skills that are necessary for many vocational jobs and that are needed as a basis for additional understanding. Units include: (1) "Place Value"; (2) "Rounding Whole Numbers"; (3) "Adding Whole Numbers"; (4) "Subtracting Whole Numbers"; (5) "Multiplying Whole Numbers"; (6) "Dividing Whole Numbers"; and (7) "Reviewing Whole Numbers." The standard format for each unit is as follows: performance objectives; suggested activities; information sheet; tests; pretests; and answers to tests; and depending on the specific objectives, there may or may not be assignment sheets, job sheets; transparency masters and supplements.
