High School Teachers' Perceptions of the Quality and Impacts of Provided Professional Development
Allison Marie Jones
ProQuest LLC, Ed.D. Dissertation, Concordia University Chicago
Professional development is a concept with which all educators are familiar. The research for this dissertation, focusing on suburban high school teachers in Northeast Ohio, aims to show that the professional development needs of teachers vary throughout their educational careers. Additionally, this dissertation aims to help school districts determine the best professional development opportunities to offer their staff. The data for this research was collected through a demographic questionnaire and in-depth interviews with veteran teachers who have taught for five years or more and newer teachers who have taught for less than five years. Need to add findings and implications (after research is complete). [The dissertation citations contained here are published with the permission of ProQuest LLC.
