"Probability" and "statistical literacy" is an important aspect of the school curriculum in many countries. In this study, we report on findings from a larger study that engaged pre-service teachers as key stakeholders in research in exploring teaching probability and statistics using a game-based teaching approach. The current study focuses on 23 pre-service teachers' views about game-based teaching and learning. Our sample of teachers were from two universities in the Pacific region. The findings strongly indicate that pre-service teachers can derive useful pedagogical knowledge by engaging in the game-based teaching intervention. All the preservice teachers support the use of real-life based practical approaches in their teaching.
