This is a report of the enrollment, capacity, and utilization of New York City Board of Education school buildings for the 1977-1978 school year. The report is divided into three sections: utilization of elementary schools, utilization of junior high schools (by district), and utilization of high schools (by borough). For each school the following data is presented: (1) number of each school, (2) grade span contained in each school, (3) building type, (4) Title I status, (5) register of all grades, (6) register of regular grades, (7) capacity of regular grades, (8) utilization of regular classes, (9) overload/underload of regular classes, (10) register of Kindergarten and special grades, (11) capacity of Kindergarten and special grades, (12) overload/underload of Kindergarten and special classes, (13) total capacity of each school, and (14) percentage rate of utilization of each total school building.
