This publication reprints articles that have previously appeared on the topic of career development, a major feature in "The Benchmark," since January 1988. ("The Benchmark" is a bimonthly report of occupational education in New York State.) These articles are categorized into two major areas: policy and planning and career information and experience. Within this framework are other reprinted articles that may be relevant and those that might help to develop a more integrated approach to academics and occupational needs. Information on ordering the material or a source for further information appears at the end of each article. Another section reprints references and resources that have previously appeared under headings such as career exploration, career awareness, and career investigation. A section lists Educational Resources Information Center (ERIC) resources that may be found in related areas and a number of state and national sources with addresses. (YLB)
