Statistical information on college and university employees in the state of New York during 1987 and 1988 is provided. Seven tables are as follows: (1) number of full- and part-time employees in institutions of higher education by occupational activity and institutional classification; (2) number of men and women employed in institutions of higher education by occupational activity and institutional classification; (3) number of full- and part-time employees in institutions of higher education by sex, occupational activity, and sector; (4) trends in employees in institutions of higher education by sector and occupational activity; (5) number, mean salary, and tenure status of full-time instructional faculty, on 9-10 month contract by sex and institutional classification; (6) number, mean salary, and tenure status of full-time instructional faculty on 11-12 month contract by sex and institutional classification; and (7) number, mean salary, and tenure status of full-time instructional faculty by length of contract and institutional classification.
