Prepared by the Dutchess County Board of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES), Division of Occupational Education, this manual assists employers of cooperative students involved in the Diversified Cooperative Education Program by providing the new employer with the practices and procedures of the program. The manual should also be of value to employers already participating in the program, or those interested in developing a similar program. The Diversified Cooperative Education Program is described as an effort to provide vocational training on a cooperative working basis for coed high school juniors and seniors, requiring that students be 16 years of age or older to enter the program.
