A Practitioner's Guide to Integration. Assessment. Module 4.
Missouri Univ., Columbia. Instructional Materials Lab.
This module is the fourth section of a four-part how-to manual for integrating curriculum in grades K-12, especially in Missouri. The module discusses the topic of assessment and provides suggestions for assessing students, integrated teaching, and integrated programs. Comments from teachers, students, and administrators who are actively involved in integration in Missouri schools are interspersed throughout the module. The schools from which ideas were drawn were selected to represent a broad spectrum of learning environments, from urban to rural, from magnet school to comprehensive K-12. The module is organized in three sections discussing how to conduct assessment of students, teachers, and the integrated program. A case study of the Farmington School is provided. The module also includes descriptions of 10 school reform measures, a glossary defining 19 terms, and a few references dispersed throughout. (KC)
