This module regarding support services available for special needs students in vocational education programs in Missouri identifies the following support personnel: vocational resource educators; basic skills instructors; special needs counselors, counselors and placement specialists; vocational evaluators; supplemental teachers; vocational preparation teachers; vocational teacher aides; interpreters for the deaf; and readers and notetakers. It describes the services that can be funded under the Perkins Act and the roles, functions, and activities of the support personnel listed above. A list of 13 state and national support services for teachers, parents, and students provides addresses. Ten references are included. (CML)
