This publication presents a summary of the research obtained from senior high schools in Minnesota using the Minnesota Secondary School Follow-Up System to collect data on the class of 1986. A total of 126 (out of 150) high schools sought information from 20,930 students, with a 70 percent useable response rate (N=14,674). Following the first chapter, which is an overview of the study, Chapter II presents a summary of activities for all respondents, as well as comparative data from the classes of 1977-81 and 1983-85. Chapter III contains a comparison of the plans versus the actual activities of the class of 1986, collected via the Career Planning Survey component of the Follow-Up System. Chapter IV provides information collected by a survey of 1,494 employers of members of the class of 1986. Forms used in the survey are included in appendixes to the report. (KC)
