Desegregation - September 1972.
Dade County Public Schools, Miami, FL.
Desegregation statistics for Dade County, Florida, are provided in tabular form. A brief history of desegregation in Dade County precedes the data. Tables 1-7 contains the basic data obtained in a survey of the entire school system and include data for both pupils and employees. Table 8 reveals the exact extent of desegregation in each school. In Table 9, the percent and number of black pupils in each school are shown with schools listed in rank order from 100% to 0% within each grade group. The racial and ethnic composition of the pupil population by areas for the eight years of desegregation reports is shown in Table 10, while Table 11 shows the countywide increase or decrease in each group from year to year.
