A prototype for a high school vocational special education program for educable mentally handicapped children is offered as a possible design for school systems. Six concerns are dealt with to provide some direction: objectives of the program, eligibility for the program, staffing needs, length, curriculum, and departmental as well as cooperative responsibilities concerning administration of the program. The appendixes include a chart on pupil placement, a typical class schedule for vocational education, and reading suggestions for occupational orientation, vocational math, social studies, and vocational exploration for grades 10-12.
