Developed by the Region 12 Comprehensive Center in partnership with the Colorado Department of Education, this document supports Colorado teams in exploring the geographic information system (GIS) map, facilitating conversations on the data presented in the map, and developing recommendations to strengthen Colorado's educator workforce pipeline. Participants will: (1) Understand how to use the GIS map; (2) Learn how to identify challenges and opportunities for strengthening the educator workforce pipeline using the map; and (3) Develop data-based recommendations to strengthen the educator workforce pipeline. This guidance and workbook is designed for teams of stakeholders, led by a facilitator, interested in strengthening the educator workforce pipeline--that is, how systems can better attract, prepare, and retain educators.
